Tabitha
Tabitha was found in a skip full of rubble at Pitsea tip in October 1995.
After a short stay in the vets she came in to our care and we soon realised that she was a little feral kitten. She soon came round, but remained a 'little cat with a big attitude'
We soon realised she had problems when still a small kitten - she was drinking too much water. After tests at the vets the problem was diagnosed. She had genetic kidney problems and had been born with one of her kidneys only the size of a pea and the other only functioning amount 20-30% Her reproductive organs were also very undersized.
Tabitha remained a 'Sponsor Cat' and lived out her short life with the Branch. As her condition deteriorated, she was put to sleep in 1998.
