Adopt
a Cat or Kitten
We always have a selection of cute (and not so
cute) cats looking for new loving homes. Also at certain times of the
year we have lots of kittens also looking for loving homes
All our cats and kittens are vaccinated
against Feline Flu, Enteritis, and Leukaemia. They are micro-chipped,
health checked by our vet, treated for fleas and worms and are
homed with 4 weeks free Pet Plan Insurance. If they are over 5 months of
age, they will also have been neutered by us. If they are under this
age, we do ask you to get them neutered at 5 months of age, and that
cost is down to you, as the new owner. We can spend £175.00 or more on each cat or kitten before it is ready for rehoming.
We do ask for a minimum amount of £60 per cat or kitten to help towards the
costs of their care while they have been with us. If you can give more
than this, it will help us to help more cats and kittens locally.

Before we home any of our cats, prospective
owners have to agree to a home check visit. As we will have spent a lot
of time and money on our foster cat/kitten, the purpose of this visit is
to ensure that our cat or kitten is going to be happy in its new home,
and that we have matched the right cat/ kitten to the right owner. Once a
cat/kitten has been homed, we do a follow up visit approx 2 months later
to ensure that the cat/kitten is settled in its new home and that the new
owners have no problems.
Should you decide to adopt a kitten
from us, you will be asked to sign a declaration promising to have the
kitten neutered when it gets to 5 months of age. Please note that in the
event of this promise not being kept, we will take the kitten back into
our care.
If you live within our area and
would like to adopt a cat or kitten, please contact our CATLINE on
01268 285778. Our Homing Officer will discuss with you what kind of
cat you are interested in and you will be put in touch with one of our
fosterers.
Alternatively, come along to one of our
CAT HOMING SHOWS. These are like a cat show, but all the cats
there are looking for a new home. The shows are held every month (see our
Events Page for dates etc) and we take along all the cats and kittens
which are ready for homing on the day. In this way, you can see them all
at once! We will endeavour to
arrange your home check visit on the same day (or soon after) so that you
get to take your new cat home with you as soon as possible (usually at
the end of the show).
